The skipper Shan Masood with James Vince made a good partnership of 41 runs on opening stand. Captain played an innings of 21 runs. After Shan Masood departure, Vince tried to make a partnership with Moeen Ali but Moeen also left on the total of 69 runs. He increased the score by 10 runs.

In the same over, Rilee Rossouw also went back with no runs. After that Vince also went back and made 42 runs. Now Zeeshan Ashraf took the responsibility to take Sultans at fightable score. Zeeshan Ashraf made a half century and made the Sultans able to fight. Khushdil Shah (7), Shahid Afridi (11), Sohail Tanvir (10), Muhammad Ilyas (3) and Imran Tahir (3) couldn’t impress the audience with their batting.

Muhammad Musa and Amad Butt were impressive today. Both players bowled 4 overs and gave 24 and 27 runs, respectively. Musa picked 1 and Amad Butt picked 4 players. Akif Javed and Fahim Ashraf both bowled 4 overs, and they increased the score by 35 and 34 runs, respectively. Akif got 1 and Fahim got 2 players.

Islamabad United took the Sultans bowler as domestic boys. No Pakistani player got a chance to come to on the wicket. Luke Ronchi (74), Colin Munro (50), David Malan* (35) not and Ingram* (1) easily chased the score in 16.4 overs.
Opening partnership between Luke Ronchi and Colin Munro was of 92 runs. It made very easy for United side to win the match.
Multan Sultan Bowling
Sohail Tanvir bowled 2 overs, and he gave 16 runs to Islamabad United. Imran Tahir and Muhammad Irfan both bowled 4 overs and gave 44 and 43 runs, respectively. Moeen Ali was not impressive today as he increased the score by 19 runs in 1 over.
Shahid Afridi threw 3 overs in which he gave 25 runs and picked 1 wicket. Muhammad Ilyas was bowling his third over (2.4) when the score was up. He gave 17 runs and picked 1 layer.
